Best Paintball Air Tank

What is the best paintball air tank? With years of experience
from the staff at Pro Edge Paintball we have used nearly every brand air system currently on the market. Below we show you why our first choice is our first choice and what to look out for when making an air system purchase! The best paintball air tank on the market is by far the Ninja Paintball System.

The Ninja Paintball regulator that comes on every Ninja Air System is easy to rebuild and repair. The regulator uses only standard sized o rings on the regulator piston which make the o rings easier to find to repair. The best paintball air tank is one that nearly all players, fields and stores can learn to repair and maintain quickly and easily.

Here is a list as to which paintball air tank is the best!

#1 – Ninja 77 4500 SL Paintball Air Tank – Here

This air system is the latest release from Ninja Paintball. This air tank is the most impressive system to ever hit the market… ever! (In my opinion of course) The Ninja 77 SL system currently comes in 4 colors with multiple options.  The most popular choices to pick from will be the Regular regulator or the V2 Pro Regulator. If you hate your gauge and fill nipple never lining up how you want to on your setup then the V2 regulator is your choice! The Pro Regulator allows you to swivel the gauge and fill nipple and set them in the exact position you want them in. The standard regulator does not offer this. The 77 air system is also lighter and shorter than the standard Ninja or Empire 68 4500 air tank.

As far as the weight and size of this paintball air system… well the new SL (Super Light) version of Ninja air tanks are the lightest on the market in the USA. A SL 77 4500 tank weighs less than even the smallest carbon fiber tanks out there. So with the 77 you are able to get a significant increase in air volume (shot per air tank) that is also lighter than 95% of the air systems.

Below you will see a few color choices in the Ninja 77 4500 SL paintball air tank. They are also available with our without the Ninja V2 Regulator depending on your budget. If you want the best tank on the market, this is it!

#2 – Ninja 68 4500 SL Paintball Air Tank – Here

The Ninja 68 4500 SL air system is identical to the 77 air system in ever way besides the physical size and weight. The 68 SL is even smaller than the standard 68 and much lighter. If you are looking for the lightest air tank on the market this air system will be it. Before buying the Ninja 50 4500 air system, consider this 68 will get you more shots per air fill and is much much lighter!

#3 – Empire 68 4500 Ultra Paintball Air Tank – Here

The Empire 68 Ultra is as you can probably guess, the Empire version of the Ninja SL air systems. They did a great job making it in a nice glossy black which will match every color of gear you might already own. Empire does not have a regulator upgrade like the Ninja air systems offer.  In fact, the Empire regulator is an old design and tends to allow the fill nipple and or gauge dig into your wrist as you play. One benefit to this air tank over the Ninja SL tanks is this one is a little more affordable. The Empire Ultra air system retails for $199,95 compared to the $204.95-$229.95 of the Ninja brand.
